FAQ

  • How does delivery and set up work?
We will tow your RV to your site and set it up. We ensure that the unit is leveled and secure and that you have a full understaning of how to use the unit. If it is a dry site we will have the unit's water tank full and your generator set up. When your vacation is over we will pick up the unit and take care of emptying tanks. The only thing you have to do is walk in the door and enjoy your stay. At the end of your trip, load up your things and head home with wonderful memories.
  • What if I want to tow the unit myself?
Our Carbon and Montana campers are DELIVERY ONLY due to their size. Our Prowler camper can be towed by the renter if they have the following equipment: half ton or larger pick up truck with 7 pin wiring harness and electric brake controller. NYS requires an electric brake controller for units weighing over 4000 pounds dry weight. We will provide hitch and weight distribution bars with the unit. You MUST use our hitch.
  • Can I dry camp, or park the unit on my property?
ABSOLUTELY!! Many sites in the Adirondacks are dry camp sites. This means there is no water, power or ability to dump tanks on the site. If you have never dry camped before we will ensure you are familiar with how everything works. Your water tank will be full. There is a pump in the unit that provides water to your sinks, toilets and shower. You will need a generator for power. You can bring your own or rent ours. The Carbon has an onboard generator. See the unit's page for generator pricing. Generators are mandatory for dry camping as the batteries will drain after a couple of days rendering the unit inoperable. The gray and black tank will hold enough to last for several days of camping. We will show you how to ensure that your tanks have not filled and we will take care of dumping and cleaning them when the unit is returned. Many renters have our units delivered to private property for extra sleeping space for family visiting or most often for family reunions so that everyone can be together and enjoy family all weekend long.
  • What supplies are included in the units?
Our units are fully stocked with everything that you will need for your get away. Our goal is for our renters to be able to walk in the door and begin their vacation. Our kitchens are stocked with: pots, pans, dishes, cups, mugs, silverware, utensils (including can opener, wine opener), strainer, pot holders, and cleaning supplies. We also have a toaster, electric coffee maker and coffee percolator for dry camping. Paper products: tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins. All beds will be made with clean linens, pillows and blankets and there will be fresh clean towels for your showering needs. Outside there is a camping rug and 4 camp chairs.
